explorer xs upper and lower rod question

hello again

i have been looking throught the forum archives for info on this and i have read that i can and can't interchange the rods....

question is has anyone used the newer design lower rod on the xs? can it be done?

if i have to modify that would be fine...the reason i ask is i just got the pro coil for it and the cable is designed to go inside the lower rod and just doesn't fit right useing the notch in the xs lower rod...

Yes it will fit. I have the xs and se pro. I bought the 6 inch coil with an extra lower shaft and I use it on both machines. I have also used the pro coil (with its lower shaft still on) on the xs.

thats what i'm needing to know...that way i can two seperate lower rods and not have to just swap the coil back and forth

just got the new lower rod in today and it actually works much better than the original....couldn't ask for a better fit...
