Explorer xs stock coil or aftermarket?

Riggs04

New member
I have had my Explorer xs for over 10 years and have just kept it stock. I would like the E-Trac or SE Pro but think the explorer xs works just fine. My question is about the stock coil. Is it worth it to upgrade to the SEF 10x12 or 11" Pro Coil? if and when I ever get out its mainly to detect parks and old homesteads. Just curious if it is worth the $200 to upgrade my coil. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks,

Ryan

I think the biggest majority of hunters who have upgraded their XS, EX2, or SE with the Pro coil or SEF coil will say it was definitely worth the price.

I have no doubt you will like the upgrade..... should look at the small coil as well. That 8 incher has a lot of good reviews. But in open ground the larger coil upgrade is great.
