Explorer XS questions

I just bought an Explorer XS, havent had one for quite awhile. Can someone tell me what rods on it are interchangeable with my etrac? I believe I can use the lower rods from my etrac in it(black carbon fiber ones), is this correct? Also, can the middle rods be interchanged?

battery system, ok to use the rnb lithium battery in it?

sunray stand, anyone know where I can get one of those for it?

Hi Neil,
The upper rod for the XS has a square end whereas the later models have an angle cut end. Consequently the angle cut end will go in but I don't think it gets real sturdy. You may want to try a layer or two of packing tape (like wide scotch tape), if the fit is not snug enough. You could cut one off square. I really am not sure on the lower rod working with the old upper rod. I think it works. It has been a long time since I had an XS. All of the Explorers use the same battery system. Did you try checking Sun Ray's website or talking to them about the stand?.

I did check the sunray website but havent called them. they are no longer listed but Ralph might have one.

Good tip on the middle rod. It may be tight as I havent received the XS yet, should be somewhere near weeks end or the beginning of next week. Been awhile for me also using the XS.
