Explorer XS program.

Hi Fella's,
I'm still using the old Explorer XS1 and it is still proving itself every time I use it. I had a good deep silver program and I'm not sure what happened to it, but out here on the west coast and living in the state of Washington I really believe a deep coin program is necessary. Anyone out there that has a good program and wants to share it with me it sure would be appreciated. Thanks.

HERE IS THE BEST PROGRAM FOR EXPL0RER XS:
(mind you, play around with the audio sounds section, you may like the "conductivity" setting better than the ferrous that I used, HOWEVER, with conductivity the sounds described below will be reversed if I remember corect... )
detector mode: advanced
sensitivity fuction: manual
value :28 to 32
threshold : 7
discrim function: discrim.
iron mask value : -10 to -12
noise channel : auto
display type : smart
display size: normal
cotrast: 6 to max
learn cursor sixe: large
edit frame size: small
audio vol limit :10
audio volume gain: 6
threshold tone :10 (or whatever u like)
audio tone var: 6
audio tone limits: 5
audio sounds: ferrous (or conduct-whichever u like)
options response: normal (or audio1 if u like it best)
options recovery fast:eek:ff
options recovery deep: on
now make a note here that these ssettings will give u high tones for silver/large targets and large coins, mid tones for copper/gold and low tones for foil/nickel/lead types...just look at the screen..copper and gold will be at the center, silver and large objects right top and mid top , lead/foil and other low ferrous targets are low and low left or right, and all iron will be top left with a cut sound or a high pitched chopped sound.
this program is by far the best I have ever seen and it comes courtesy of Nick from Detecnicks UK (Nick no longer works there, but thanks anyway).
I found a coin using this program at a depth of 40 cm (around 17 inches) while no other program was able to detect this deep.
good luck, let me know how u went.
cheers

ps, THIS PROGRAM WILL NOT WORK ON EXPLORER II. I KNOW CAUSE I JUST BOUGHT ONE AND IT DOES NOT WORK LIKE THE XS.

This is one setup I have used on my Explorer II, and for me it seems to work? <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?"> Is there a web page with screen shots of Explorer II that show where targets hit. I think Mike had one for Explorer XS? I still have problems with items that have cross hairs half off screen right side top to bottom. Top I usually dig, buttom right seems to be junk, but you just never know. Should any target be completely off right side of Explorer II screen?

These are XS screens.

I assume you are talking about the setup I just posted above....for me it wont work on my new Exp II....but then again, as I posted above, my one may be faulty...cross hairs down and right of the screen on my XS were NEVER anything worth diging...but my soil conditions may be different than urs...
I would say that you better dig everything and be sure....ya never know when a gold bracelet may be near or top of a crown cap...
cheers.
