Explorer SE next week

Nightwind_15

New member
Ok, I did it. Ordered an SE last week and will have it next week. I really want to learn to use this detector to its fullest and need advice on how to begin and what to look for in the way adjustments I might need to make. I am going to approach this very simply and need the help of you guys that know these great detectors. Coming off using Fisher machines I know I will have some work ahead of me.
Why am I changing?
I do like the prospect of the deeper and better discrimination characteristics of the Explorer. Also the DD coils available. Ground balance is an issue here in Alabama as the soil can change in a matter of feet. I will get my Explorer next week and want to get the best advice as to how to begin using it. Then when I do try it what should I look for as far as the adjustments needed to get the most out of it. If it is doing this then I need to do that etc.
All help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all
Stephen
