Explorer Se Decals faded. any good cures.

My explorer se pro has faded decals on the sides where it says Explorer SE. Has any one done a successful decal touch up,
What should i use to touch up the decals from the faded look which spoils the look of my SE.

Are you worried about resale ? If so that just shows a little use and no abuse . It shouldn't affect resale price , most guys buying used are just looking for good working , presentable looking machines anyway . No matter how careful you are you can only keep them looking showroom new for only so long . All tools eventually show wear . I don't think that looks bad . If you want to see something ugly and abused looking you should see my Garrett Propointer but it still works perfectly .

I was worried i might have a little bit of a problem when selling it yes. My problem is i am a bit of a perfectionist and like things to look good.
Would you say it would reduce the selling price ? I bought this from a dealer but this is the first time i have seen one with worn faded decals.

The only thing that would reduce the selling price would be if you saw fit to . I don't think that decal thing is that big a deal . If you bought it
bought it as brand new and paid full price for it then I would wonder if it had been pre-owned or used as a demo .The regular SE's have been out for more years than the ones marked Pro . I'm thinking rubbing from use ( maybe with sweat ) faded it a bit . I got over that perfectionist thing a long time ago makes life more fun .If you bought it used for a decent price and it works well and that is the only thing you see wrong with it you are way ahead of the game . There are guys out there just dying to get their hands on an good working Explorer
pretty or not . Think twice before selling it , it's an excellent detector unless the weight is killing you . I would only sell mine to get a CTX but that's not going to happen .

I've had a few of them that done that. Just means it's doing it's job out there!:bouncy: no worries it will sell just fine like that!

Does any one know how come the decals actually get rubbed off , i have heard that using covers can wear the decals off the sides of the SE,
loose clothing rubbing on the sides of the detector is another reason this happens so a dealer told me , but at the end of the day it means the
detector has seen many hundreds of hours use , maybe several thousand hours. This baby has been returned to the dealer .
