Explorer SE and explorer II

What is the difference between the two units? I have a mxt,no luck on jewelry yet! My friend has se having good luck...Thinking about getting a explorer!!!!

I think they do about the same on detecting. The difference I think is they made it easy with the SE to make changes and faster. Now that is not the ID changing. All the explorer 11, SE & e-trac has a slow ID . You hunt a lot by tones ( and I like the tones on the exp.11 & Se better the the e-trac). Hope that helps.

The sensitivity in the coils made for the Explorer series have evolved more than the difference between the EXII and SE. I would be happy with either one with one of the newer coils

Whoa !
Slow those horses down, Millingtime !

The Explorers are fine machines, yet it would be a foolish person to turn their nose up at an MXT's capability.

Location is everything in metal detecting.
Some lucky detectorist may discover a peculiar treasure in a strange place, but lost and misplaced items are generally found in places they are seen most.

There seems to be some odd reason folks wear jewelry to a beach, where physics and physiology get involved...
Cool water makes fingers shrink and rings almost jump off digits !
Splashing, diving, and swimming in water are excellent ways to rid yourself of excess jewelry !

If you don't have a swimmin' hole or ocean beach near you, try grassy areas near public pools.

Borrow an example of your intended target and set your machine using that example in a plastic baggie.

Work closely with that MXT... I doubt it will let you down.

Remember, if you're not digging trash, you probably won't find much gold !
