XLT screen cover is just a thin piece of plastic with sticky edges. Its a hair wide and could interfer with side buttons so measure and take a small amount from each side so it clears.Scratch it and it will just peel off and you can put on another, no cover and expensive to replace the screen..Having used various screen covers find out the plastic crimps causing the screen to be hard to see.Surprising that even some XLT users don't know it exists and when scratched think they have to replace the complete XLT screen. Very inexpensive and varies from one to several dollars depending on the dealer as many consider it special order.Works well for me and certainly is a alternative to other screen covers and works much better as it lies flat allowing you to see screen more clearly..Takes a minute or two to apply and should last at least a season or more depending the area your hunting in.After you have pressed it down tightly remember the XLT screen cover has a micro thin protectant similiar to protect screens of new units.
From one of the edges using a razor blade simply peel it off and your good to go...I realize many wish to protect the whole screen head and perhaps the removal of the center plastic of the screen protector head can accomplish this...
