Explorer Questions

Okay, I got my new explorer Monday. I've spent quite a bit of time with it in the quickstart mode and have a couple of questions. Do most of you use the normal response option or do you use Audio 1, Audio 2, or Audio 3? Do you prefer the Fast or Deep Recovery option?
David

Hi David, I use normal audio, fast recovery 99 percent of the time. variability at full 10 and gain 6 to 7 depending on how much falsing I am getting.. now these settings are just my preference, many use the other modes or combinations.., Dont really think it affect peformance much, just a personal preference.. I would get it out of quick start though and into advanced mode.. you can always use the select screen to reject stuff.. I do believe iron mask alone is the best way to run, accepting as much of everything that you can stand listening to.. a setting of iron mask -14 will knock out most iron, and still allow you to see good stuff in iron.. too much diusc and you will make it harder for the explorer to pick that stuff off

If your going to use iron mask you should try ferrous sounds. It's hard for me to distinguish between falsing and good stuff in cunductive sounds with iron mask turned on.

Most veterans recomment you spent a lot of time in the factory setting before changing settings. This will give you a good baseline to work from
