I was wondering how much minelab charges to replace the plastics on a explorer xs. I was told they did it for free years ago but that was when the xs was a current model.

Minelab replaced the cam-lock assembly for free and probably still does. Of course you might get lucky and have the guts installed into a newer housing with the 1/4" headphone socket ? :)

Call them and find out, don't send emails.

Original owners only had them replaced for free but Mike offers some good info and indeed Minelab U.S.A. is easy to work with and a telephone call is your best bet..
