Explorer Problem.

One of our group of Explorer fanatics over here has had his machine die on him.
The batteries are in the correct way and fully charged but it will not fire up any ideas before he resorts to sending back to Minelab please.
Thanks (Jerry) on behalf of Tony Stokes.

Yes - Mine did that too. I finally had to send it back into Minelab to get fixed. The key pad was the problem, and they fixed it.
I think this is the problem - You push the start button and it sticks down and will not run.
On mine I found that if you hit the start button 1 time only - then wait for about 30 seconds some times the button releases and it starts. Sometimes you hit the start button listen real close and you will here a tiny click after about 30 seconds - then hit the start button again and it might start.
In the end you will need to send it back to MineLab.

If you are using rechargeables pack make sure you try the alkiline pack too before you send it in, just in case it is a bad pack.

Try another if one's available. If not, clean the batteries terminals with an eraser or electronics cleaner. Mine would get a "low battery warning" and if I pushed on it from the back, you could see the battery icon increase. Hope this is his problem and is an easy remedy. HH

Hi Jerry I have the same problem sometime tell him/her to lift the black rubber and push the batteries down a bit as this helped me, If they have tried that then I don't know mate.
