butt kickin technology!!!! Got my (new to me)exll yesterday from ron at dixie. I have been away from this addiction of a hobby called "metal detecting" for a couple years. Have used many top notch machines in the past. I am VERY impressed with this machine. I hunted a schoolyard with a disc pattern only accepting coins, sens was auto, found over $3 in clad and silver necklace pendant in a few hours. Was only fooled a few times, and that was in the nickel area....still managed 6 nickels, which I think is pretty darn good! A couple of dimes hit hard and were down right at 5 1/2 to 6 inches in HARD DRY AZ. ground. What a machine....and thanks to all of you for giving instruction and ideas on these forums, it is a wealth of knowledge.

Welcome back to this great hobby. You've bought yourself a great detector and you're just scratching the surface so far. Wait until you've put some hours on that baby. You'll be doing a lot of smiling :).

You have the major purchase out of the way. You won't go wrong buying upper end headphones to hear those deep targets and reduce outside noise. In my opinion the X-1 probe is a must and the 15" WOT coil from DOC is necessary gear for deeper silver. I can't express top of the line headphones enough with the ML. HH
