Hey I was wondering if it is possible to use one of the new coils, like what comes on the Etrac and Safari on an original Explorer II?
 
Ohh ok thanks, I was looking at them online, kinda pricey, but I will try to find a cheap one.


Do you all think the coil would be an improvement over the stock Explorer II coil?

It's a lot lighter if weight is an issue . It seems to separate better but the depth seems to be about the same to me . The Pro coil will tend to hang up a bit more on weeds . I'm sure most of the guys here on this forum favor the 10X12 SEF . More people will jump in to help you make a decision on this I'm sure .
