Explorer II Price Quesiton

I have been wanting a Explorer SE / SE Pro or the II for the longest time. I have the opportunity to buy a Explorer II for $535 shipped. No extra coils or anything come with it, to get to the point before I keep going about nothing, but the question is, is the $535 price a decent price. It's in good shape, I don't know what firmware version is on it, or how old it is exactly, but is this a decent price. The price I am paying I could get my money back from it if I didn't like it right. Thanks for all of your help in advance.

Does it have the stock EX2 coil (1000 or 1050)?...or has the stock EX2 coil been replaced with the slimline coil from the SE.?

$535 would be a decent price if it has the stock EX2 coil...but in my honest opinion...if someone has switched the stock coil and replaced it with a slimline coil from the SE...you will probably end up needing to spend another $100 to $150 before you will getthe best performance.

I just bought my Explorer II off of Craigslist, it was listed for $700 (he had it at $800 with no bites), I ended up buying it for $600 from him. All stock, included a Sunray pinpointer attached (I dont use it, and prefer my Garret ProPointer), also included a bag, Sun Ray headphones, a basic hand shovel.

I would say $535 is a good deal. I am very happy with the Minelab explorer, its accurate, and when it comes to coins, I usually know exactly what I am digging, can even tell the difference between a zinc penny and a copper penny. That statement may not sound much to veterans of metal detecting, but I upgraded from a cheaper detector, so my reference point was an old Garret 550.
