I have a explorer II, Whats the difference between the SE and the explorere II? Thinking of selling the II and Getting a used SE , The ETRAC is way to much!

The EX2 is a great machine and a little bit smoother than the SE...and many people like it better than the SE.

I'm not one of them...the SE has an all metal/ID'ing pinpoint which none of the other explorers have. It's an invaluable tool when trying to make the final decision on whether or not to dig.

The SE is supposed to have a slightly faster processor but I notice no difference in the field.

If you are going to purchase an SE make sure you do not get one that has the stock slimline coil.

Get an SE pro which has a newer 11" pro coil...OR purchase a pro coil, 10 x 12 SEF coil, or Sunray X-12 coil for your EX2.

Any of these 3 coils will be a nice upgrade for your EX2.
