Explorer II acting up a bit...

Anybody else have this happen? When I start the machine up the display is in the "Expanded View" (smart find is as big as the whole screen). I never use this view. It happens every time I turn it on. All the other settings are ok - as I last used. I just hit detect about four times and return to the screen I want. No biggie for now but wondered if anybody else had a problem like this. Am I in for more trouble???

Thanks - Robin

For some reason holding in the start button returning your settings to factory reset does fix some problems.Actually you have a computer type unit in your hand and seems to reboot the computer. Surely worth a try and good advice from Dan...

Mine is doing the exact same thing, maybe its michigan weather.I just scroll to the screen that I want ie, digital or smart, didn't think it really an issue.I did use it for a while on purpose, for instance when it got to evening time and lower light, I would be in digital and use the expanded screen to see the digital readout better.Maybe the detector really has a mind of its own and is choosing the screens that IT likes.take care, scott
