Explorer Headphones

I read where the headphones that come with the Explorer have a volume control? Where should it be? Mine doesn't have one.

Is the volume control seperate from your headphones or part of it? The cord on the headphone that came with the detector is too short. When you set the detector down to recover a target there is not enough cord to let you move around while digging or passing the target over the coil with the detector sitting on the ground.
You will pull your headphones off or end up damaging the cord. I use my other brand headphones
with a longer cord to sovle the problem.

the volume contol is inline on the cord. the cord is plenty long on mine. did your headphones have minelab printed on them, they should.

My headphones have the volume adjustment on the main wire just below the where the two wires from the earphones come together. I'm not a big fan of the Minelab headphones as they are poorly constructed, uncomfortable, the wire is too short and mine broke after a couple of months of use. I now use the Gray Ghost Ultimates and I really like them a lot.

Mine, which I just got from Kellyco last week does not have a volume control, and the cord is a coiled cord. No name on the set.

My headphones don't have any logo on them, but the volume control is just above where the coiled part separates to the earcups. Jerry

The volume control can be problematic, be glad if it doesn't have one built in. Water and dirt could easily find it's way into the control, I ended up removing the volume control from my Explorer phones. Otherwise I thought they were pretty good, nice volume and comfortable --unfortunately the ear cups didn't block loud environmental noises very well. I now use higher quality phones that are louder and block surrounding noises a lot better.

Received my Explorer 2 weeks ago. The headphones have no volumn control, no markings whatsoever, and I don't like them. Barely enough room to stick my head through the two wires.
