Explorer depth

I have finaly found my first coins with the explorer xs You guys were not kidding when you said only dig repeated signals.
I learned that the hard way(digging alot of trash)and not paying attention to what the explorer was telling me.
I am just wondering if it works the same way on the deeper targets? Or is there something else I have to listen for

Most times good targets will repeat from more than one angle, and almost always will repeat in both directions of the sweep from at least one angle. the deeper they get the more softer they get, and at fringe depth may repeat on most sweeps but may disappear occasionally on some.. the tone of a good target generally stays the same, and if at first you concentrate on the quality tones and keep at it, you eventually can get your ear tuned to the tone of those deep iffy ones.. to me iron has a distinct tone, as do the hot rocks, and most non ferrous junk reacts differently.. just keep listening and digging.. pretty soon you will know by ear which ones to ignore and what ones to jump on

I went out again today But I didnt find much. I think I am trying in the wrong places to get used to this explorer. (trashy areas with to many tones to understand)
Atleast I didnt get skunked and did find some keepers -1902 V Nickel and a couple wheats.
I think I will try some old houses for awhile with not as much trash around them.
