Its gets no better than this. My only got to hunt today for 30 minutes. I tried a few more setting. Sensitivity at 27-28 everything else at Factory pre sets.
seems like the dimes were close tothe 26 VDI#, and I found old wheaties coming to 20-23's roughly.I can tell the dif. by using the graph somewhat better today-I'm learning!
I found 2 Mercury in an area I bombarded with every XLT I've ever owned. I criss-crossed hunted every inch 30 times before. Today I hunted just a short while, I found a very beat up looking Merc. and another one in Ex. cond. both at the same depth 7-8". This was a park were there still is a swimming pool. My grandfather swam here-dad in the late 30's. someone said it used to cost you a dime to get in later on. This is were they used to be a lines of people waiting to get into the pool area. I am truly happy with the ML's performace so far. Its the machine and not me. =^)

You do know that there is the Main Explorer forum where everybody posts their finds, don't you? It is fine that you do here, but on the other forum you can see what every one else has been finding also. Here is the link.

Yep, I had a direct link that were to here. A good hunting bud just sent me this link at first-My bad Thnx for the info.,I look forward to learning more on here as I go.

Could it be that it's not so much a testament of how good the ML is, but how poor the XLTs are?

The XLT's and other units cleaned up the shallower stuff, the items of edge and deeper were picked up by the ML Explorer. I hunted today in my Aunt's 100 year old house, that once was a store....
