FOR BEACH HUNTING
Have you ever considered using a wide open screen (no discrimination) and using FERROUS mode? I find it a good idea to dig everything except iron. Using FERROUS mode gives a low tone growl on iron and a much higher tone for everything else. This way there is no nulling and the low tone growls are reasonably easy to ignore.

The wet beach program you presented to Capt. Kirk looks exotic. I'm going to try both of these. I tried the beach hunting on the back yard of the house I'm renting. Too much junk in the ground so too much sensitivity for trashy ground. I'm eager to try the Audio 3. Thanks agin for your suggestions! HH ~Rich

This setting will give a louder audio response for deep targets. My personal preference is GAIN about 6 or 7 to allow me to get a better feeling about the depth of the target, but this is up to each individual.
AUDIO 3
I still have trouble coping with AUDIO 1, especially if there are lots of targets. If the beach does not have several targets per sweep (and generally they do not), then AUDIO 3 may be a good option. I have never tried that, but maybe I will the next time on the beach.
THRESHOLD 8 OR 9
This is really a personal preference and depends on one's hearing. I like a barely audible threshold.

I almost always run in MANUAL and experiment with SENSITIVITY to try to find the optimal setting (whatever that is). A setting of 32 may be problematic for the places that I hunt. I normally start about 25 and work up to 29 if the chatter is not too bad.
