I was detecting a yard by power lines today, the detector would just keep running thru digital numbers it would stop on 28 for coins, I tried noise cancel. The detector would just keep running a tune over and over; I would have to stop and turn machine off and turn on again. Thank you for the help

Terry, the noise cancel button cycles through all 11 channels making that tune each time, it takes a minute or two to finish.. just let it stop on its own.... thats normal operation

Don't yell at me for saying this, but the noise cancel feature will play 10 tunes as it checks each channel. This isn't what you were listening to, is it?

when i first got my explorer. i'd find a tatrget then locate it in pinpoint . then turn pinpoint off and while i was pulling the detected down on the ground my knuckle on my thumb would alway hit the noise cancel botton . i'd just let it cycle. stan sjmdc

Thanx guys all the explorer was doing was going through it's channels, I thought something was wrong. I did turn sens down.

Thanks for the tip, I have two spots with power lines but noise cancel alone wasn't enough to stablilze the detector. I'll crank down the sense and try again.

Charles,
I have had to go from manual to semi auto on some areas too to get it to run smooth and also some areas from semi auto to manual to run smooth, so give that a try too.
