HOTROCKS

New member
Searching factory settings stock 10" coil.

searching LEFT , FLAT, side of a busy traffic 2 way road. sensittivity20, found a few clad and a 5 inch merc.

went to the other side of road, RIGHT side which is a 20 to 30 foot HILL , bottom to topof hill. and unit would not stop beeping , some times with coil 2 feet above ground???????????????.

I removed coil cover and cleaned , searched sensitivity 5 to 10, did a factory reset, noise cancell. change battery pack Nothing worked????????????????? constant beeping????????????

any Ideas?

Were you near overhead electrical lines? I had the same problem near underground dog fence. Did this problem persist elsewhere, like when you got home? The only time for me this happened and it wasn't overhead or underground lines was when the lead to my coil was broken. Had to get a new coil. Hope that's not your problem. Hope you get it figured out.

Coil is GOOD, machine is quiet.

another machine, 6.7 khz running hot was running ok and found a wheat and clad coin where explorer went crazy.

any other ideas?????????

Was it normal power line EMI crazy or just beep everytime you swung the coil? Ive gotten the constant been when they didnt bury large pipe very deep..... like sewer lines. Also around here in Ind. if the topsoil is very thin, like on the side of a hill, then you get real good feedback from minerals setting on the bedrock or just plain old HOT ROCKS. If it cleared up..... once you moved away from the area then its obviously nothing wrong with the machine, so it has to be something in the ground. Some machines may not pick up the sewer lines especially with auto GB just because as they move into iron, it becomes part of the disc that doesnt affect their machine they only loose depth. But EMI would because it bounces all over. Were those coins near or on the surface? Do you have an inline prob?
