So I start with the preset and adjust from there. I Click on iron mask and move it to -10 then I select (fast) and (deep) for recovery next I select a check mark beside each of the objects I want to find .....rings, coins, jewelery.
Is there anything wrong with this setup?
How would you have me set it up? please explain why and help me understand
thanks
junior
These are the main things I guess I,m looking for.......rings, coins, jewelery

I have been running the Explorer 1 and now 2 for a several years and I too want to find the good stuff and leave the junk behind. If you are new to the machine, my suggestion is to go with the smallest coil you own, don't worry about check marking the items you want to find. When I have been hunting and nothing seems to be working, I always go back to the default program (initial start up, hold down start button until the music stops). Dig everything that repeats in two directions, and slow the swing. Each direction 5 secs. To find the rings, you need to dig the pull tabs in my opinion. Also, hunt the sand beaches where the digging is easy and targets are plenty. Dig everything until you feel pretty good about how the machine responds to good signals versus iffy signals. GOOD LUCK - You have one of the best machine out there for treasure hunting.
