Well, I gotta tell ya it worked great with the factory pre-sets. Used the X-8 coil. I have hunted my friends 1902 2 story farm house many times, it's kind of a test site I use for new detectors. I got 2 1899 and one 1891 Indians and a sweet 1911 Barber dime, the 1st I've found there. This site has produced over 80 nice coins, including a 1892 Morgan over the last 20 years. This is the 1st time a FBS detector has been there. These 4 coins were found in a 20'x20' area.
I like the EX 2 alot!! Just got to get use to the nulling and keep it SLOW.

Excellent job, morelic. Keep using that Explorer, and you may have to change your name to mosilverandinjuns!

Great finds with the new machine -- Injuns in great shape and the Barber looks terrific! In only a 20x20 area? Wow -- I'm guessing there are many more to be found; even though it's already given up 80 old coins, it hasn't been Explored!

Funny thou, none of the coins were really that deep, 6" at the most and the dime was only 3" deep. Also the dime was more on the right side of the Smart Screen and not in the corner. Indians sounded strange and were in the center of the screen. I dug alot of one way and 2 way signals, none of them were 4 way signals.....Mark

You'll be checking alot more sites that you've been over before with other machines. I know I did!

I hope I can find just one decent coin in any of my first few hunts with my recently acquired Explorer II.
It's a little different than my Whites Eagle 2SL...lol..

I hunt with the explor. 2 also and have had about eight machines in the past 26 yrs. The explor 2 is far best i hunted with. you're hunting with quality my friend.
