Explorer 12V NIMH Battery Pack

I have checked the volts on the charged pack (charged from car) and find I am only getting 11.23 volts when the pack states 12V. Knowing my other rechargeable nimh batteries, I can get more than 12 volts on 8 of them when fully charged. This is the original pack and has 1500mah batteries. Perhaps it has not charged long enough (charged all day) or maybe it needs a household charger to juice them up further. Has anyone checked their packs and or could anyone check theirs to let me know what I should be expecting? I am using 1600mah nimh in my spare pack and no problems there. Thanks and enjoy everyone's helpful posts. Tim

I am here to tell you if that Explorer acts crazy with that battery pack that doesn't chrage up all the way and works better with the other it is no good.I had a bad battery pack and just lucked into finding the problem try using it for an hour or two and once you get that amount of time on it or even 30 minutes put a new pack in and hunt 30 minutes over the same area and see if it runs cleaner and more stable.I have gripped about mine for awhile but I figured it out.One guy has posted pics of those cheap batteries in the pack on down below. There is a whole string about the battery issue below.

Thanks Rick and that pic answers my question. These batteries are 1.2 volt which delivers 9.6 at that level or probably up to 1.40 volts each after charging. That is why I am getting a reading around 11.2 volts. Tim
