for you guys that now own the explorerII is it worth the price tag?? i have owned my xs almost 3 years now & the machine is awesome.have any of you guys went back to areas you hunted & picked up finds that you missed with the XS?? any input would be appreciated thanks in advance HH from wisc

I take my XS to areas that I think is worked out and always dig atleast a few holes. Unless your taking both detectors and comparing signals I doubt info like that means much.

I take the same unit over an area and find a few more things almost every time, I take a different unit over a hunted area and make a few finds because the unit sounds and ID's different then the other.......so as long as I can make finds they are all good to me but the rules....HH Bri

Before digging, i had my friend come over w/ his DFX to double check a signal i found w/ my Exp. II. he didnt detect anything. it turned out to be a wheat at around 8 - 9". Would an xs have picked it up? dont know, i left that one at home.
all i know is: exp II + periscope = killer combo
P.S. only problem I have w/ the Exp II so far are the camlocks (for the birds). the upper comes loose.
Notable Finds so far last month w/ exp II:
1/2 reale 1786
5 Silver Rings
misc. Indian heads, buff. nickles
Large cents
Standing Quarter
Misc. merc dimes
2 Silver Wash. quarters
Many Old buttons
1877 Seated Dime

Hi Guys,
My explorer XS1 detects wheat pennies at 8 and 9 inches with the 7.5" minelab coil and Mike Moutray Settings.
