Hi all,
Am considering purchasing a Sand Shark or Tiger Shark for wading and water use. I don't really need another land machine so am leaning a bit to the Sand Shark, but on the other hand, I'll seldom, if ever, be hunting around salt water. So the choice really comes down to whether or not to go with the VLF machine or the PI machine. Any opinions appreciated.
Thanks,
BB

The Tiger is the way to go for fresh water. I've been running the Tiger going on 8 yrs. It's a great machine, kind of like a waterproof Bandido. You want to be able to disc out the nails, bobby pins and other ferrous trash. A PI machine will drive ya jackbatty. If I ever go detecting in the salt, it won't be with my Tiger, I have read that they don't do so well in the salt. HH.............Hombre

If you will seldom use this machine on salt water beaches, I would encourage you to get the Tiger. PI machines have no discrim and you will hear every single nail and piece of rusty can in the lake. You need some disc when hunting fresh water lakes.
