exp2 101/2" coil will

DIRT2

New member
it work on the new exp.SE without any problems?
I know the pinpoint will be a little larger but I can live with that.

This new coil I feel is much better than the older 10 1/2 coil were, but if you do want to use one I don't feel it will be any different in pinpointing size other than the new coil pinpoint more to the center of the coil(half way from the tip to the center) while the older one will pinpoint in about a inch from the tip of the coil.

sent the wrong coil as my factory coil was defective, would cut the detector on and off. Just wanted to know if it was different in other ways.Think I will get the slim coil. Was told the exp.2 coil was very sturdy and since I have a new one in my hands just wanted to check before I sent the 101/2"coil back to minelab.

Thanks for the help.

Hello, DIRT2, the 10 1/2" EX-II coil will work fine on your SE:detecting: However, it may weigh a little bit more. Pin pointing has various different methods to use. With the 10 1/2" EX II coil I prefer to use the side to side, then 90 deg rotation. This method will center the target up fairly accurate. Happy Hunting Grounds,
