When hunting in Advanced-Smart,if I switch from the target crosshair display and then go to digital display, sometimes the display is real slow to return to digital when I push the detect button. I wait for sometime. Then I press the detect button and stop at digital and wait for 30 sec. or more. when I pass the coil over a quarter on the ground I get a good audio but no digital display. Is the normal. Thanks Ken PS I am hearing a threshold.
 
Hi Ken, I have found that same thing. What I've started doing is rise the coil after I switch modes and wait for the threshold tone to come back then lower the coil back to the ground.
