Hello All,
I'm a brand new EXII user (this past weekend) and, first, I must say that this machine is definitely incredible. I really don't see a large learning curve with regard to the instructions and have been playing around a bit and am awestruck by the number of discrimination variables that can be programmed. I've even been detecting under power lines in the "factory setting" after noise cancellation.
My question is.....to get the deepest possible with the EXII, would you need to eliminate all discrimination (i.e. white screen) and then go by cursor position and tones? This sounds like the most powerful setting if not in a bunch of iron trash. Anyway, the tones are pretty well easy to learn with copper and silver high and iron nickel low. Maybe I'm being too simplistic? I am hunting 17th century farm fields and need to go deep. Last year picked out several conn. coppers, a two reale silver and a 1798 large cent.....with my Tesoro Lobo!
Appreciate any comments, suggestions and I guess I will be paying a lot more attention to you pros out there.
Bill
