Exercisizing, saving batteries and still finding nickels

New member
Not quite detecting weather here today, but I decided to take a 2 mile hike and brave the misty rain that was falling. I managed to pick up 10 nickels by way of the New York state 5 cent deposit law. I could have picked up atleast twice that much again today but I forgot to bring a bag with me  My wife and always pick up cans on our walks and donate them to two of our Sr. High youth Girls who are headed to Peru on a missions trip this June. Every little bit helps. You know the old saying "one mans trash is another mans treasure", i figure if I am willing to dig a nickel up, I might as well pick one up that is just laying there. Peace and God bless. Kip...:)

I found a full, unopened six pack of beer once. That was a pretty good day, too.
Nickles are nickles, man, and they add up. Good job, good service.

I guess I could mention that in the past year I have also picked up three $10.00 bills and a twenty, as well as some other small change. And sometimes there are full beverage containers, but as I personally do not drink, I just empty them out. Kip...:)

John-Edmonton do you still have that picture of that six pack you detected under the sand last summer?
