Exchange 2

I am having lots of trouble trying to install. the exchange 2 program on my CTX or use. I keep on getting errors about my firmware being out of date. When I make it to the Exchange page that is supposed to have an update available, it is not present.

Another error is the firmware of your CTX3030 is out of date. You need to update it now. when I try to log in I get this error This web page is not available

The connection to www.minelab.com was interrupted.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
Check your Internet connection. Restart any router, modem, or other network devices you may be using.
Add Chromium as a permitted program in your firewall's or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again.

If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the wrench menu > Settings > Under the hood > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox

I do not know how to get to proxy server.

another error is:

Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset.
I do not know where to get Chromiun.

I have been working for 8 hours trying to figure out how to fix these problems.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need Chromiun. But it sounds like you probably need to set an exception up for the anti-virus product you are using. Either that or simply disable your anti virus for the few minutes it takes to download the updated XChange2. I use BitDefender AV and I have to tweak it for downloading XChange2 as it detects a false positive in the script. You might give that a try and let us know if it helps. HH Randy
 
Thank you for the suggestions.

I finally...finally got the Xchange 2 to work with the help of Brian from Minelab and UStech Support. As it turned out, it was my laptop that was not allowing the Xchange 2 program to communicate with my CTX properly and once we did the force load, everything worked as it was supposed to work.

Now the fun begins with learning how to use the Xchange 2, which will be much easier to learn, thanks to yourself and the many other supportive folks from this site
