Use mxt beach fresh water, gnd 80 to89 iron hot rock minerals, other land area 70 t0 80 gnd, iron on one sweep about every 6 inches, which is the better coil for these kind of conditions? For depth and helping the machine to work wright. The 4x6 mini dd is the only one i can use at the beach and most other areas, would like to get a bigger coil, the stock coil is ok for some area, but not most. Thanks for the answer.

Sounds like some of my areas. I had one such place where an old home once stood. Found quite a few wheat pennies with the stock coil. Went back with the 14 inch excellerator, totaled 27 wheaties, 1 merc dime and 3 buff. nickels. Love the relic mode in iron near 0 disc, trigger forward. Even a broken high toned beep 95% of the time was a coin near or partially covered with iron. I know it is right much bigger than the stock but it is a dd and it will suprise you at how good this big coil can separate targets. I used the 14 inch coil on the beach in A.C. New Jersey. Got several 16 -18 1/2 inch quarters, not a loud beep but definately hearable and repeatable. I have the 5 and 14 inch excelerator coils and wouldn't take anything for either.

I do have a few parks and other local sites that get down into the 71 to 74 range, but the nasty mineralized beaches, and even four local parks hang right in the 84 to 89 range.
I have had every White's coil made for the MXT as well as the 5", 12
