Excelerator SEF butterfly coils

does anybody have personal reviews on the Excelerator SEF DD butterfly coils on a Whites M-6? deeper than than the Whites accesory coils? worth the money? i'm interested in the 8x6 and 10x12.

Depth will depend on your ground and skill so I will not begin to guess what depth you will get, but the DD/SEF type coils will usually get better depth over a conical coil in very mineralized ground. People usually do not buy the DD/SEF coils for the depth though, those coils are superior in separating good targets from iron and in trashy ground conditions. The SEF coils are a type of DD style coil like the White's 6X10 but with slightly better ground rejection.

I use the SEF 10X12 on my V3i and SE Pro with very good results in my ground which is considered very mineralized. Here is a link for a review I did on the 6X8 for Kellyco. It is a great heavy trash coil.

target seperation and bad ground is the main thing i want it for. i live about 80 miles north of you so the ground conditions are probably similar, and i do go to alot of junky old home sites. thanks for your input and the link.

Kelly Co has a sale on them right now. Got my 6x8 sef in and its on my MXT. worked great this morning and had great depth and seperation. I ran my MXT on 3 which is wide open.
