EXCEL ID QUESTION;

Hey Guys, I took the Little FIREBALL out for it's first run yesterday, despite all the heat and concrete hard ground! My question is, how come I was getting dime/quarter readings, and digging flattened out soda cans, that were flat like a coin? I thought flattened out soda cans would ID as +36, maybe +34. Anyway, I didn't find anything good except some scrap metal, but my partner and I were working an Old Farm Site, that is now a construction site. Next outting, will be to a park or school ground. Many Thanks for any responses, HH

any soda cans are gonna be tough for any target ID machine, flattened especially. They are just high conductivity & really hard to do anything about but get outta the ground & put them in a trash can & hope it was masking a coin or something. ;) Just don't get discouraged & move on. An occational can, screwcap, or rusty steel bottlecap is all part of the hobby I guess.....HH, Bill

MANY THANKS for the quick response BILL!! As always, very dependable and quick to respond!
I hope you have some luck at the beach, and find ALOT of BLING-BLING!! I'm way overdue myself!
HH

You can say that again Bill!!! I'm almost to the point whereby I can tell the difference between an old rusty bottlecap and a coin - but I digem anyway - cause you just never know, sometimes I have been very surprised at what pops out! Hawkeye Jim.
