Excalibur's first gold

Hit the beach long and hard today with the new Excalibur. Hunted mostly in the water up to about neck deep. Found alot of clad and junk rings and ear rings. Took a break and decided to hit one more spot before we left. After about 20 minutes got a real sweet sound in the headphones, looked at my boy and told him this was the one. Pulled up the scoop and sure enough a 14K mens wedding band.

Total finds

14K ring
3 junk rings
3 junk ear rings
1 neat set of praying hands
$2.81 in clad

I really like the excalibur once in the water. I will probably stick to my DFX for the dry sand and use the excal for the wet sand and water. Today I could only run the sens at about noon. Any more and it started falsing.

Can you believe how much you LOVE the Excal??? :)

I also have converted from DFX to Excalibur (but yet to get wet).
Should be interesting to see your comparison of the two.
I've found the Excalibur seems to go much deeper and more tolerant to black sand.

Six rings on first outing! I got to get in the water someday too.
