Excalibur

Hi guys , I'm a beach hunter and use the Excalibur by Minelab. I like to hunt in all metal and when I find a possible target I turn to disc to see if it is worth digging. Switching back and forth from met. to disc. is a hassle because of the location of the dials. Has anyone devised a switch that could be mounted on the machine to temporally go into dis. then release the switch it would go back to all metal? Thanks

No, but I DID put a bigger knob on the pinpoint selector switch! Makes it easier to find and grab when wearing gloves, and it's dead easy to do. Hope this helps a bit...

Hi,William.
I had thought the same way,What I did to help the Prob, was to go to an Auto supply and get a Rubber Grommet, like where the wiring goes through the Firewall on a Car.Get a Size that goes about half way down when pushed onto the Knob,I guess a Rubber Tire from a Toy Car might work as well, but the Fire wall Grommet has a Groove around it,that would allow a person to attach some kind of a short Lever. For example, wrapping a heavy (Household electrical)piece of Copper Wire around once.and then TWISTING it up,leaving a little of the extra sticking out for a "Lever"..Ken
