Hi, I am an Excalibur user and know what they are all about. I have always been interested in the Fisher CZ20, but never have owned one. Now that the 20 is no longer in production, I am wondering if I should snap one up? I fully understand the technology differences between both machines. There are several things I like and do not like with Excaliburs. And from what I read some things liked about the CZ20, such as 3 distinct tones, built like a tank...
So, side by side with 8 inch coils on a saltwater beach, which would be the better machine? Which would detect the same target deeper? Which more sensitive to a gold ring? Which more stable? Like a prize fight, one should come out the winner in a no spin side by side test? Or is it a draw? I'm more interested in what works better than in brand loyalty.
