Excalibur Repair Update

Spoke with Kathy Warren Minelab) she was of no help or comfort. Might have well not answered the phone. She has obviously been taken a beating for months and just has giving up. Poor communication skills. I asked about my machine and she just said I don't know. What your name no it s not done don't know when it will be looked at, Call M. Kozel at this number. I called and his mail box was full. What do you think that means. It means its was one of hundreds getting the pass off to him. Its no wonder he didn't call back, there's not enough hrs in a day to make the calls. My Excalibur was 6 months old when it broke. Its now going on 9 months. I mailed it back in the first week in July and like others its still not even looked at yet.Filed consumer complaints today with several agencies.
I have so fed up with the BS they gave for 6 weeks. Kozel left me a message 2 weeks ago telling me it should be done in the six weeks they quoted me. I'm done playing. We need to figure out what can be done.

Minelab stopped responding to my calls they will not call back. I wasn't nasty or anything yet. Just called every other day. Now I am going to call 3 times a day.
 
I only made one call to ML, just for some simple info a while back. Some lady was rude as heck on the phone there, so I just hung-up. I guess they have been catchin' hell......:poke:
 
While I have nothing to show for my complaints yet,I can assure you Minelab is reading these forums. For all you that sent the complaints via Email,phone calls, BBB, Consumer complaints in your own state, thanks it is doing the job. For those of you that sit back and let the few do the work. Wake the %*$# up! Get on the horn and demand they compensate you for your your loss time.
6 weeks is outside the allowed standard for Warranty work and they know it. Get something for your grief,if only your warranty extended for the2/3 months they have your machine!
 
Talked with Minelab today and was told mine has been shipped to me on Thursday should have it tomorrow. I sure hope it works? I will report back when i give it a test. steve
 
Now that the move is done with Minelab and they are getting organized now. I sent in a customers Explorer XS that has been working perfect since 2000 and stopped working 2 weeks ago. I sent it in on Thursday of last week and just got a call today from them today saying they have it and will be checked out in 7 to 10 days and they will then call me what it will take to repair it. Much better then the 6 weeks we been seeing posted by others, but we will wait and see if it will be 7-10 days.
 
Well I have talk with the VP of Minelab and the reason for the 6 plus weeks is strictly related towards the Excaliburs. I can understand the extra time needed what I couldn't understand was Why the head of the repairs Mr. Kozel was still telling me 4 to 6 weeks when it was 5 weeks and the box wasn't opened yet.My detector arrived today. 54 days away 32 work days.I am not sure I am happy see new post. steve
