I am having trouble with my excalibur, works great unless I put completely underwater then it loses signal,as soon as I bring
above water it works great?I do not see any water in the pod or battery pack, has anyone ever had this happen?

I've never seen this problem, but I vaguely recall reading a post like this somewhere. What are your settings when this happens? Is this a new machine or is there some history on it?

Ive got one that once the water hits the volume knob the threshold/volume rises. Mine was repaired with new volume pot.... but its got to be something with the knob. Have you ever changed the headphones? Im wondering.... some of them came with a 3rd grd wire inside and i removed mine. Ive not seen any water in my pod either. I know mine isnt the battery or a coil issue since both are below the volume knob. Call ML or Kellyco, maybe they have come across this issue before. Yours sounds like its in the sensitivity knob. Put it slowly into water and see when the problem really starts.

it does not seem to matter where knobs are set,I have tried several different positions, whenever pod goes under it cuts out until I
bring it back up,I am going to try it real slow to see if it is a certain knob or the headphone wiring? thanks for response any help is appreciated

I had a simular experience with mine. Mine was just a dirty connection where the battery terminal connects.all I had to do was clean the plug and socket sides. I also had to spread the gap on the male side of the 2 battery plug terminal. I assume by your post that it looses power as soon as its submerged and that its not just a matter of re adjusting the threshold .will it hit on a coin under water? If not it sounds like a power problem, but Im not an electronics guy. Good luck.

Its a good possiblity you have a cracked headphone wire. Likely right there at the cap because the old wires were a little longer and heavier. Sometimes the nuts got cranked down to hard and if you dont secure the headphone wires to the top of the machine there is a lot of stress and constant movement. unscrew the nut and take a close look in that area.
