Some folks run in pin point with sensitivity turned to maximum. Some run in Disc with disc at lowest setting and sensitivity to where the machine quits falsing. I have tried both but I prefer to run in Disc as I can not hear well enough to hear the weaker signals in Pin Point. . Those that run in pin point claim better depth.
You will need to experiment to see which method you find to your liking. It is a great machine. Take care of it and it will reward you handsomely.
