Excalibur II settings

Moe (FL)

New member
Hello.

I need some help with the settings for the Excal-II on the beach.

Are the settings the same for wading or beach walking?

Should I try to use the SENS at 10? I read in some posting that recommended the SENS at 6 or you could lose depth. Wouldn't SENS 9-10 give more depth?

I noticed that in PinPoint mode (all metal) there is no iron mask. All targets sound the same in this mode but it seem to get more depth. How do you tell targets apart in All metal mode? What I did was switch to DISC to help me determine if the target was iron.

As far as cleaning the detector after the beach, do you unplug the battery pod and rinse the terminals?

Thanks.

Well Moe, how are you setup now? Lets take your current settings and givem' a tweak, then you go try our way and see if you do better, savvy? Have you ordered Clive's books on the Excal yet? You had better, so you don't miss out on your edge there. Much to learn from these resources. Get BOTH!
