I will be interested in the replies as I am debating the same issue myself. 
My twist is that I will be buying either as backup to my Excal II.
I am a devoted Excal II user as my main machine. I recently tried a Whites Dual Field in backup role but found it was not for me. I like and need the full features of the Excal II
