Excalibur II on land

New member
Hi everyone. New to this forum. Looking for some advise on using my Excal II on regular ground. School yards, parks etc. Looking for some setting suggestions and reasons behind them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to know the capabilities of this machine for both water and land inside and out. Again thank you in advance for your time.

Hi Krasman.
I was like you and wanted to know everything I could about The excalibur II. You need to purchase two books written By Clive James Clynick titled as: Advanced Field Methods for the Minelab Excalibur: Therory & practice. The other is: Advanced methods for finding gold in the water with the Excalibur

Very capable land machine. I've used mine around launching area grounds and picnic areas after working launch sites and banks. They are a little more heavy but do suprisingly well on land. You won't be dissappointed. HH:minelab:

It's going to be as good as any Sovereign since that's what it is, except heavy. I hunted with a friend's on land once (first time I used a BBS machine but had owned FBS Explorers) and dug an 1835 Bust Dime and a large cent in the same hole. I'm talking within an hour of hunting with it and the thing wasn't even working right. The threshold was unstable. 'Nuff said...

Excellent reads indeed, also his book "Finding gold, silver and coins with the minelab sov and excalibur" is a very good one.

I have a tejon, vasque, whites a excalibur minelab only found musket balls i two years, How good would the minelab to use on land?

Better than pretty much anything on the market as far as depth and unmasking ability. The only reason why you tend to hear more about Excals/Sovereigns being used on the beach to find gold is because pretty much nothing else can touch them for that. That's not to say the same thing can't be said about land hunting with them for both gold and old coins. They are THAT good in both respects, on land or at the beach.
