Excalibur II holding charge

New member
I have a new Excalibur II1000 and would like to know if the charge goes down after recharging it and then not using it for several days.

Mine don't but the manual recommends if left unused 3 to 6 months recharge it. My Excal gets used more often than that. I don't think you can overcharge your battery with the charger that came with the machine. Maybe Critterhunter or someone else that knows about that battery business will help you out. Kered & Crazyman are very knowledgeable about that as well. You will get plenty of advise on that subject if you will do a search on battery charging.HH:minelab:

When I had mine before It broke It held the charge for weeks, using it several time in that time frame,3hrs each hunt 4 five times before I charged it. If you know anyone who flies RC electrics they could cycle it and tell you the Amp hrs your getting. Then compare it to the battery rating. It take no time at all to do it.
