Excalibur II Battery compatibility question

[size=large]Can I use the Minelab Excalibur II Nimh battery pod battery on the Excalibur 1000 machine? .....I just bought one but I hesitate to put it on until I know if they are compatible....thanks in advance for your help....HH...Brian[/size]
