The small scoop was a free be will be ok for light coin shooting in the dry
Plus I got the stavr scoop for the proper work :bouncy:

Congratulations on your new machine! One piece of advice I would like to give would be to periodically remove your coil cover and remove the sand that piles up in there. I am looking forward to seeing your finds very soon and congrats again on a fantastic machine! HH -Marc

Chipmonky,
I am excited for you :bouncy:

Hope you make some great finds with it and have some good fun and meet great friends along the way.:clapping:

Paul.....

If your going to be in more than knee deep water, get a straight shaft... Makes swinging underwater a breeze......How long does it take to get a stavr scoop????

Great machine. You need to first change your setup. You can not swing it long like your stock setup is. Either get a straight shaft, make a straight shaft, body mount it or get a Pluggers extension and mount it behind your elbow. The stock setup is poor. Happy Hunting!

Mine took a week but I live in England.
It was sent with parcel tracking so you could watch it all the way over.
Best scoop I have tried :clapping:

yeh get a straight shaft on that puppy.. I wouldnt hipmount as it will make the detector nose/front heavy..the stock setup is more for diving with the short shaft..

PLUGGER'S Straight Shafts or OTHER ACCESSORIES for the EXCAL are "E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T", and he SHIPS ALOT to ENGLAND & Other EUROPEAN
Customers, BEST OF LUCK, Les Robinson

You can take a piece of 1/2" PVC and make a great/hip chest mount cheap. Cut a piece of PVC long enough to mount the electronics and battery and add about an inch longer to add simple split rings (key chain rings) on the ends. Drill holes after marking the drill holes with a Sharpie. Don't use your machine as a template for drilling! It may damage the holes so they will not stay with the stock button setup.

Buy some simple nylon bolts and wing nuts to mount the boxes to the pipe. You could even use medium to large zip ties to hold it on the pipe. This takes all the weight off your arm and may help protect the protruding switch pots from damage. If you drop the stock setup on hard surface you may regret it. I chest mount and have a ski harness for photographers. It holds the machines in place even if I bend over and is quite comfortable. Love it!

OHO YESS machine like this will be my next investment. all I hear is great things about it. Congrats on your new baby rocked well!
thx.
Abel

You will not regret this purchase - and if you are in a good location, it could pay for itself in short order. I'm getting my self a straight shaft as I really don't like the s-handle; it's what it is for now; just for now though.
