Excalibur for dry sand

I want to get a detector that I can use in the water, wet sand and dry sand.

Will the excalibur work well in the dry sand?

Thanks

The Xcal works just fine in those locations, especially if you can afford just one detector. Dont know about your beaches, but mine arent that trashy so you can crank up the sensitivity and swing the coil at a pretty good pace. I dont find myself in the dry sand very often just because everyone with an idea to buy a detector especially a VLF ends up having to work the dry sand.

The only other machines that can go from wet salt sand to dry salt sand are the Pulse machines , bu they have little to no discrimination ......The Excal can also go from wet salt sand to dry sand without issue .....Besides the Pulse machines , the Multi Frequency machines are the only machines that will do well in both wet and dry ....You can take any Mulitl Frequency machine an waterproof it to work in wet and dry salt sand and even underwater ...... Do yourself a favor and buy, or build yourself a chest harness for your Excal and enjoy longer hunts ...... Jim

chest mount for excal is the way to go imho...
