Excalibur Down!! Need advice regarding the pot shaft o-rings.

Today, I decided to do a little preventative maintenance on my Excalibur II by changing out the upper, pot shaft o-rings. I removed the old o-rings, and after comparing them to to the new o-rings, I noticed that they are a little fatter than the replacement o-rings, purchased awhile back, on eBay. The new o-rings are supposed to be correct for the application, but I'm a little concerned about the size difference. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I've included a picture that shows both the old (4 on right) and new o-rings, for comparison.

Thanks in advance, for any help. - Daddy

I have replaced mine with the following size if this helps.
ID 3/16
OD 5/16
Fractional width 1/16
Actual width .070

If the "O" rings are not torn why replace them? I take mine off once/year and lube them with electrical grease and they have never leaked, hope you find some good ones. HH

Thanks for sharing what worked for you. I went ahead and installed the o-rings that I had, but might change them out. I like the fact that the rings that you used, are a little thicker.

I was replacing the knobs with some aftermarket ones so figured I'd do the o-rings, too. Knobs were getting a little hard to turn, and the o-rings were, on their exposed sides, dried and discolored. Plus, they were going on three years old. They're easy enough to do so what the heck, I did them. Thanks

Be careful using undersize o-rings, if it leaks it can trash your board quickly. The o-rings dry rot and need to be changed every 2-3 years to keep the control housing waterproof. The traces on the motherboard are thin as strands of hair and if you get corrosion on the IC chips you have trashed your mother board.....

Does anyone know the exact size and a place where they can be ordered.

Thanks
