Excalibur blue headphones wiring

Tony

Member
I'm trying to solder up a pair of Excalibur blue headphones to a regular stereo 1/4" jack.

There are 2 main wires and 2 smaller wires.

I'm assuming that the 2 main wires go to the 2 main tabs on the stereo jack (L and R channels).

I'm also assuming that one of the two smaller wires is a shield/earth and should solder to the small lug on the jack.

Any ideas on this?

I'm not having much luck at the moment.

Thanks,
Tony

Normally the small wire is the comon and both should go to the same terminal

Thanks Kered.....tried nearly all combinations but the Sov GT doesn't want to make a squeak with these headphones !!
I'm only using them with the GT in a waterproof enclosure.

The headphones worked fine with a previous detector...only needed to connect the 2 main wires.

Tony.

minelabs use a different pin to most detectors, best bet is to put on a mono jack, 2 main to one pin and the other 2 to the one thats left
